Triple accreditation EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA: the triple crown renewed for Audencia

AMBA, AACSB, EQUIS: these accreditations are the Holy Grail for business schools as they give them international recognition. A symbol of excellence outside of France, it is a must for positioning themselves in the rankings and attracting foreign students, as well as high-level international partners.

Audencia Business School is proud to be part of the very closed circle of schools benefiting from the triple accreditation of EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. This accreditation is renewed for a maximum period of 5 years, a guarantee of its commitment to teaching excellence. Audencia is one of the few schools in the world (1% of institutions) with the 3 worldwide accreditations of reference in our sector.

As a reminder:

  • The AMBA - Association of MBAs - is the international accreditation body for MBAs, DBAs and Masters in Management, the advanced business and management programmes. Issued by the Association of MBAs, the AMBA rewards, as its name indicates, not only MBAs but also DBAs and MBMs. In order to obtain this accreditation, it is necessary to demonstrate a willingness to recruit diverse profiles, the creation of spaces for exchange and reflection between the participants and the school, and the ability to be financially viable. The institution providing the MBA must also establish a transparent programme where competencies are clearly defined and measurable throughout the programme. Only 270 schools have obtained this valuable accreditation, 20 of which are in France.

  • The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has established standards for quality evaluation of management schools (EQUIS). EQUIS is a label issued by EFMD, a non-profit organisation whose aim is to promote excellence in management education through rigorous monitoring of organisations and curricula. EQUIS is awarded to schools created more than 10 years ago, which provide management training and whose international reputation is well established. Among the most important eligibility criteria are governance, which must be independent, strategic vision, positioning, programme quality and coherence with current management practice, and the school's capacity to be a viable economic player. The evaluation process lasts approximately 3 years.

  • AACSB International - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is an international accreditation body for business and management schools founded in 1916. Issued by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB is based on values such as the ethical behaviour of the school and its stakeholders and the social and responsible commitment of the institution. It also evaluates institutions according to more objective criteria such as the ability to deliver Bachelor degrees, governance or good fund and HR management. While 845 institutions worldwide can proudly display this quality label, only 23 French business schools are AACSB accredited for a period of 5 years.
