3thrd round for the Paper Development Workshop in Family Entrepreneurship!

Organized by Audencia's Family & Society Entrepreneurship Chair and the Entrepreneuriat Société Transformations Group of the Université du Québec à Montréal (ESG UQAM), the 3rd Paper Development Workshop in Family Entrepreneurship took place on October 12 and 13, in digital. This year's theme was "from family entrepreneurship to family business".

Internationally, Audencia is a pioneer in the teaching of this field of study. The first edition of these workshop days organised by the Chair of Family & Society Entrepreneurship was held in 2017. The Paper Development Worshop aims to take stock of the current state of family businesses and to highlight new trends and new entrepreneurial projects promoted by its actors. Seven research papers were presented at this research colloquium and we were able to count on 38 participants of all nationalities from all 5 continents.

To inaugurate this edition, Audencia welcomed Jenny Helin, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Studies at the University of Uppsala in Sweden, Alistair Anderson, Professor at the School of Management of Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and William B. Gartner, Bertarelli Foundation Distinguished Professor in Family Entrepreneurship at Babson College in the United States and Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship at Linnaeus University in Sweden.

Workshops then took place on various themes such as "the Taittinger moment, entrepreneurship in a family champagne house", "the agency idea in a family business" or "who, when and how the idea of family entrepreneurship emerges".

The GEST, co-organiser of the publication, is the ESG UQAM research centre dedicated to entrepreneurial practices, identities and discourses in disadvantaged and minority settings. In particular, it promotes a new inclusive and fruitful relationship between entrepreneurship and social transformations.
