Audencia reaffirms its commitment to biodiversity with "Let's give bees a roof over their heads"

Just one year ago, in June 2019, on the occasion of the Biotiful Place To Work Challenge, Estelle Prusker, Head of the Mediacampus, and Frank Dormont, Audencia's Director of Communications and Institutional Relations, conceived and carried out the project "Let's give bees a roof over their heads". Let us salute their commitment for making this beautiful project a reality.

Hosting beehives at Audencia is our way of contributing to sustainable development by focusing on maintaining biodiversity. It is one of the strong points of our CSR commitment, which will allow us to safeguard the bee populations on our territory, but also to support local, artisanal and sustainable beekeeping.   

We have known for several years that the excess mortality of bees is increasing in France and in Europe. Affected in particular by meteorological factors, diseases or the use of pesticides, their disappearance would be a great threat to biodiversity.

As our apiary Antoine Rémi-Zéphyr reminds us, "The bee is an essential link in the biodiversity and food chain. Contributing to its preservation and getting involved means helping to protect your environment!". 

Over the next year, Les Ruches d'Antoine will offer discovery workshops on the theme of beekeeping and a visit to the hives.
