On-campus blood drive: when students become superheroes!

Emergency relief, surgery, blood diseases, cancer... The need for blood products is daily and has increased sharply over the last fifteen years. Today, there is no treatment or synthetic drug capable of replacing human blood and labile blood products (SLP), which are derived from donated blood. In France, the need to treat patients requires 10,000 donations of blood per day. And this figure is tending to increase. Indeed, until 2013, under the combined effect of longer life expectancy and medical progress, the consumption of blood products has grown by 1 to 3% per year.

Based on the premise that you don't have to be a superhero to save lives. In partnership with Audencia, the French blood establishment Centre-Pays de la Loire organized a blood collection on Monday 9 March 2020.

An opportunity to help people who fight against diseases by giving only 30 minutes of their time or how to do good by giving a little of yourself.
